Business Contract Hire is an 'Off Balance Sheet' funding method where a company hires a vehicle for a specified period & predetermined mileage. The leasing company retains ownership of the vehicle & is responsible for the associated risks. At the end of the contract period the vehicle is returned to the leasing company.  The minimum period is 24 months & the maximum is 60 months. The monthly costs are fixed for the term of the contract. A number of additional facilities are available with the contract & include routine servicing, replacement tyres & exhausts, breakdown cover & a relief vehicle facility.
